This is an original Arnold late 1940s clockwork liner produced in the US zone Germany. Overall length is 12.5 inches / just under 32 cms. K Arnold began in 1906 producing tin toys and production ended in 1995.
The condition is excellent for its age, often either the main flag poles or the stern stars and stripe flag or both are missing. The original paint shows some age-related crazing as you would expect. A couple of small areas of paint loss on the hull. The rear flag pole and Sten flag holder are slightly loose but attached.
The clockwork mechanism is working with a non-original key. The box has wonderful graphics and is in overall good condition with some crushing at both ends.
Overall this is the best example I have seen and displays very well.
