Original Boxed Asahi (ATC) 1955 Ford Tinplate Musical Car

Founded in 1950 the Japanese post war toymaker Asahi was a major producer of mechanical and battery operated toys.

The emphasis was on scale and models of contemporary vehicles.

This is a 1955 Ford Tinplate Musical Car by ATC

It is a large scale model, 9 inches, tinplate toy of a Ford sedan in green with chrome trim and cream interior including steering wheel and instrument panel.

This is battery operated the mystery action is in full working order however the musical tunes, which after 60 years plus sound a little slow and intermittent.

The overall condition is very good in a lovely original box with great graphics, the box is in good condition with a small hole in one top corner and a small split to the other end flap.
