Made by Merit ( England ) circa 1953 this early version was produced before the Dan Dare brand was removed from the box.
A lot of Dan Dare merchandise was released during the 1950's , this planet gun, looking very retro must rank as one of the best.
It fires spinning missiles.
The spinning missiles are in good overall condition, the reverse of the gun has some marks to the plastic where either glue or heat has been in contact with the plastic, this is illustrated on the photographs.
The box is in overall good condition with some splitting to the end corners and age related wear to a small part of the box lid. The box bottom has been punctured by the spinning missiles.
