Wells Brimtoy 1950s Tinplate Space Ship

The Wells Brimtoy brand was started in 1932 with the merger of two low cost toy manufactures Wells and Brimtoy.

This space ship was influenced by the increasingly popular Space and Robot toys from America and Japan. In Britain Dan Dare started his space adventures in 1950.

This tinplate toy in bronze and red has a see through red sparking compartment at the rear. The sparking effect is not working.

It is a lovely display item, 25cm long.

In very good original condition with just a very small gap in the plastic where the top red fin meets the tinplate body.
